Caribbean Flavors and Fragrances Ltd (CFF), a Derrimon Trading Group company and the leading supplier of quality flavors and fragrances to beverage, bakery, confectionery and ice cream manufacturers across the Caribbean, continues to provide support for End Time Foundation School, an early childhood institution based in the Penwood Place community of St Andrew.

Although they provide assistance to a few other institutions, the End Time Basic School has been their main beneficiary over the past five years, with assistance in the form of seasonal treats for children, infrastructure development, furniture repairs, event sponsorship and the provision of toiletries.

Specifically in response to the sudden onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company resolved the need for child-friendly sanitizing supplies, as it is the manufacturer of these products.

Founded in September 1995, the school is currently home to 51 students. The school’s curriculum provides a comprehensive experience for all of its students and is established on the vision of building on holistic development in order to make better students and foster growth as they progress.

Partnerships such as their existing relationship with CFF allow them to ensure that this vision comes to fruition for every student who attends. CTF has been instrumental in supporting schools within the community, as giving back is a fundamental principle on which it stands.

The partnership with End Time Basic School is described as the brainchild of Executive Director Janice Lee, who shares, “End Time Basic School has been part of our outreach and mentorship program for the past few years. We provide support to the school in various areas such as sanitizers, renovating specific areas on the compound, making back-to-school and Christmas treats, as well as participating in their sports activities. At Caribbean Flavors and Fragrances Limited, we are always available to give back. We are proud to support End Time Basic School and encourage other participating businesses to join us as we save our children through awareness.

The school recently organized its annual sports day and the presence of the CFF family was not lacking, due to their financial and physical support. They provided refreshments for students in addition to having the physical support of staff to help them organize and run the day.

End Time Basic school principal Mink Tulloch-Paige said the sports day was outstanding, “the best staged the school has ever had,” she shared. She enthusiastically detailed the fun, excitement and competitive spirit displayed on the faces of all the students in attendance.

Over the years, CFF’s support for the End Time Basic School has remained constant. CFF Business Development Manager Janique McKenzie describes End Time Basic School as the “baby” of the company, and she further described the institution as their breeding ground for development. She explains that outside of their day-to-day operations, giving back, maintaining the partnership and continuing to provide support to The End Time Basic School and others will be a focus for them for years to come.
