BURLINGTON CITY — A 32-year-old man who crashed a motorcycle on school property early Tuesday got his head stuck in a doorway, city police say.

The Blackshear, Georgia man had been thrown off the bike in a crash around 3 a.m. at the end of Wall Street near Wilbur Watts Middle School, police said.

His head was stuck between the aluminum slats of a closed fence, requiring the assistance of EMS members and firefighters.

After his release, the man was taken to Cooper University Medical Center in Camden for treatment.

His identity was not released by police on Wednesday.

Police said it appeared he had taken the bike from a relative who lives in Burlington Township, unbeknownst to the owner.

The man was ticketed for “several motor vehicle offences” but was not charged with theft.
