If there’s one thing we’ve learned from painting and sipping, it’s that fueling our favorite creative hobbies with a drink (or three) is always a good idea. If you’re ready to broaden your horizons in this regard, say hello to The Big Bake, Sydney’s brand new alcoholic baking school.
At Big Bake, you’ll be treated to a glass of bubbles upon arrival, before diving into a 90-minute baking class. Hosted by internationally renowned pastry chef Ridhi Rahman (whose pastry chef CV includes an impressive list of Parisian cafes), classes will cover tastes of salted caramel brownies and fancy cheesecakes, with the option to step up things and try more tricky recipes if you’re up for a challenge.
Inspired by blockbuster cooking shows like Cake war, Chef, and Sugar rush, The Big Bake classes also have a competitive streak. After your baking, the cakes will be judged and a winner will be crowned.
And all of your whipping, kneading, sifting, simmering and brewing will be accompanied by plenty of tasty cocktails, tossed around at The Big Bake’s onsite bar.
Tickets are only $ 50 per person. For more information and to book a class, jump here.
